Congratulations Graduates!

Fern Borus (They/Them) 

University Libraries Department: Business Services 2021 
Degree: Bachelor of Science
Major/Minor: Public History/Museum Studies, Multimedia Design, Theatre
Future Plans: Park Ranger-Interpreter at the Statue of Liberty for the National Parks Service NYC 
Favorite Memory: I loved jamming out and dancing around during art installation days. 
Favorite Space in the Libraries: The Baber Room Gallery
A fun fact: I have a chicken and goat tattoo. 

Emily Gonzalez (She/Her)  

University Libraries Department: Access and User Services 2024 
Degree: Bachelor of Applied Arts
Major/Minor: Fashion Design Major/Visual Merchandising Minor
Future Plans: I have an internship at Edwards Garment, a uniform apparel company in Kalamazoo.
Favorite Memory: Playing UNO with Tony, Paul and Logan.
Favorite Space in the Libraries: The fourth floor, love seeing the views.
A fun fact: My favorite color is pink. 

Kirsten Hoeksema (She/Her)  

University Libraries Department: Access and User Services 2022 
Degree: Bachelor of Applied Arts
Major/Minor: Event and Recreation Management
Future Plans: Detroit City Distillery, operations and Events Intern
Favorite Memory: The hiring orientation.
Favorite Space in the Libraries: The fourth floor by the big window. 

Pradeep Karra (He/Him)  

University Libraries Department: Clarke Historical Library 2024 
Degree: Masters
Major/Minor: Information Systems
Future Plans: To be a Data Analyst.
Favorite Memory: Working with Megan Farrell.
Favorite Space in the Libraries: The Digitization Office
A fun fact: I love long rides and adventure activities, so if there’s ever a road trip or a spontaneous adventure, I’m probably the one to say yes. 

Kendall Wallace (She/Her)  

University Libraries Department: Clarke Historical Library 2022 
Degree: Bachelor of Applied Arts
Major/Minor: Broadcast and Cinematic Arts, Minors in Art and Art History
Future Plans: Taking a gap semester before applying to grad school programs.
Favorite Memory: Viewing archived news footage from the 1970’s and logging it for future reference.
Favorite Space in the Libraries: 1 North, preferably at night! I did a lot of work in that section of the library and will miss it dearly once I graduate. 
A fun fact: Along with my interest in history and film, I’m a playwright!
