Introducing the newest members of our library team

Noelle Charbonneau, Archives and Reference Specialist, joined the Clarke Historical Library at the beginning of 2025. She is a graduate of Grand Valley State University, where she served as a student assistant in the Lemmen Library and Archives, and she is currently working on her MLIS in archival studies at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. In her first year in the role, she has stepped up to support the archival processing of digital and print materials, as well as the public service operations of the Clarke, which include reference and outreach efforts. A lifelong Michigander, Noelle has a bottomless curiosity and is willing to dive into the details, which serves her well in working in an archives and special collections library like the Clarke.
Amy Christensen joined Central Michigan University as the Office Supervisor for the Dean of Libraries on June 23, 2025. She holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology and has a strong background in office administration, operations, and team management. Amy is excited to support the important work happening across the CMU Libraries. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, hiking, listening to podcasts, and traveling—especially up north to Suttons Bay, MI, where her family has deep roots and runs a cherry farm. She looks forward to getting to know the CMU community and supporting both our internal teams and valued library donors.
