Welcome the Libraries’ New Employee, Abigail Hills!

Abigail Hills joined the Access and User Services team inside the Park Library in late September 2026.  She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with an illustration emphasis from Grand Valley State University. Additionally, she recently completed a Master of Library and Information Sciences from Wayne State University. With two years of experience working in local public libraries, Abby is excited to learn and grow in her new role within CMU's academic library.

One of Abby’s interests outside of work is collecting books, mainly limited-edition and specially designed books or custom bindings.  As an illustrator, she loves to see how different artists create covers for the same book.  Reading mainly fantasy and sci-fi, a personal favorite series of hers is Anne McCaffery’s Dragonriders of Pern.  Abby also has a very silly kitty named Bean, who likes to snuggle while she reads.
