The Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics provides advanced training that enhances knowledge in the field of nutrition and clinical dietetics. The program is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

NOTE: Completion of this M.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics program alone does not result in the attainment of the registered dietitian (RD) designation, nor eligibility to take the registration exam.
*Transfer credit may be considered for coursework completed prior to admission, with exclusion of FNS 678: Research Methods. Due to the content of the M.S.N.D. Research Methods course, courses offered at other institutions do not sufficiently prepare the student for the FNS 798/799 capstone experience.
Any courses considered for transfer, other than FNS 678, must be in compliance with CMU’s Graduate Transfer Credit Policy found in the Graduate Bulletin available at grad.cmich.edu. Once admitted, all coursework must be completed through CMU’s On-line M.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics program. Questions regarding processing of credits earned prior to admission to the M.S.N.D. program may be directed to the graduate program director.
