Summer 2019 promises to be another busy and exciting year at CMUBS.  We will continue to offer a few of our typical 3 week, 3 credit courses in addition to a series of field based specialty courses that take advantage of our faculty expertise, first rate research facility and our unique location  on beautiful Beaver Island.  These specialty courses will  appeal to a more diverse group from undergraduate and graduate students at CMU and across the region  to working professionals and individuals  wishing to expand their knowledge on a wide range of topics.  Please click on the request information box above to see the course listing and inquire about specific opportunities.  There is something for everyone this summer at CMUBS!

  • Back for the summer of 2019 will be the Research in the Great Lakes Exhibit in the CMU Boathouse on Whiskey Point. We hope to have the doors open for this informative self-guided display every Friday and Saturday starting in mid-June. The annual open house at the CMU boat house will be held on the Tuesday of museum week again this summer, Tuesday July 16th. As always it will highlight the Research Experience for Undergraduate students that conduct research at the CMU Biological Station from May to August. Scientific cruises, seminars and field trips will be posted on this website as soon as dates are determined so please check back often. Also visit the Beaver island Community Calendar for other Beaver island events as well as CMUBS events which will also be posted there.
