| Details: | Come to the Baber Room Gallery to see what’s new in the Central Michigan University Art Collection. New Acquisitions is an exhibition of select artworks acquired for the Central Michigan University art collection between 2023 and 2026. Selected works span mediums such as drawing, painting, fiber arts, photography, ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, mixed media, and bookmaking. Works are selected to represent a broad cross-section of subjects, artists, media, and ideas, and are used to enhance the cultural and educational experience around campus. The collection comprises vetted donations and purchases from campus exhibitions, including works by faculty, students, and professional artists across many disciplines. Collection works are selected and maintained by the Art on Campus committee. This exhibition is co-curated by Anne Gochenour and Denise Whitebread Fanning. © Tom Lundberg, Flame Tab, embroidery, cotton and silk wool threads on wool and cotton fabrics, 4” x 10”, 2019 |
