| Details: | Put your investment strategy to the test in the Fall 2026 CMU Investment Challenge, a free virtual investing competition open to current Central Michigan University students from any major or college. Participants start with $1 million in virtual money and can build a portfolio using stocks, bonds, exchange-traded funds and mutual funds. Investments are limited to 5% of the portfolio in any one security. The competition runs from Sept. 23 through Dec. 7, and students can join after the challenge begins. To be eligible for prizes, participants must invest at least $750,000 before the market closes Wednesday, Oct. 14. Participation is limited to one account per student.
