Intergroup Dialogue Graduate Assistant
The position assists the Institute for Transformative Dialogue project in creating spaces for intergroup dialogue across co-curricular and academic programs by reporting to and assisting the project co-directors (one student affairs professional and one faculty member). Tasks will vary week by week according to the needs of the project, including facilitator training and coaching, program design, delivery of staff training, faculty support, and the administrative functions of the project. The ideal candidate will have prior experience facilitating intergroup dialogues or similar curricula in social justice education.
Leadership Institute Programs Graduate Assistant
The Graduate Assistant for Leadership Programs coordinates the planning, development, and execution of co-curricular programs within the Leadership Institute. The Graduate Assistant works collaboratively with Leadership Institute staff and performs a variety of professional consultation and assessment efforts for educational programming, including staff recruitment, staff development, logistical planning and curriculum development with university-wide leadership competencies and learning outcomes. The Student Leadership Programs Graduate Assistant exercises technical and functional supervision of student staff of the student staff of various leadership programs including: Leadership Safari, Purpose, the Spark Leadership Experience, Connections Leadership Conference, Ignite Leadership Series, the LeaderShape Institute, Student Leadership Network, Ignite Leadership, and custom programs for assorted student populations.
MASS Mentoring Graduate Assistant
The MASS GA will be responsible for leading the office’s male-mentoring initiative Men About Change and assisting with the coordination of the Multicultural Student Leadership Conference, and the Multicultural Celebratory. In addition, they will support Get Acquainted Day and all cultural celebration programs and events. This individual will proactively work to support the programs and initiatives of the MASS office.
University Recreation Facilities Operations and Events Graduate Assistant
Assist with daily supervision and operations of University Recreation facilities. Responsible for the supervision, hiring, training and scheduling of student Events/Facilities Operation staff. Assist in facility rental/special event logistics for special events held in University Recreation facilities. Serve as Events Facility Administrator during assigned events.

University Recreation Fitness Graduate Assistant
Assist with the implementation of fitness & wellness programs. Assist in the coordination and daily operation of multiple university fitness centers, group exercise programs, personal trainers and wellness programs. Schedule, hire, train, supervise, evaluate and motivate assigned fitness staff. Plan and implement special events including marketing and evaluation of events. Assist with coordinating departmental special events. Assist with supervision of Special Events.

University Recreation Student Development and Student Events Graduate Assistant
Assist in the development department student leadership programs. Facilitate new student staff orientation program and leadership workshops. Assist in the implementation of student staff recognition programs and events. Coordinate communications and other announcements related to student development initiatives

Volunteer Center America Counts and Reads Graduate Assistant
Oversight and team coordination with the ACR student coordinator in conducting and planning monthly ACR trainings and special events, such as D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything and Read), National Literacy Awareness Week, Pi Day, etc. The Graduate Assistant will hire and train CMU students to serve as tutors and will be responsible for tracking timesheets bi-weekly for each tutor with the Volunteer Center Office Professional. The Graduate Assistant will create a schedule for each tutor based on their availability and the availability of teachers as provided by each elementary school principal.
