- Meal Plan and Flex Dollars
Commuter meal or FLEX Dollar orders submitted online are processed the next business day, Monday - Friday, with the exceptions of weekends and holidays. To view plan options and make a purchase, click the CMU campus dining link below.
Meals do not carry over from semester to semester. Meals must be used during the semester for which they were purchased and intended for. Any remaining meals will be removed at the end of the semester and are non-refundable.
FLEX Dollars are valid for one academic year (e.g. Fall 2024 – Spring 2025). In May of each year, all FLEX Dollar accounts are closed and returned to a $0.00 balance. These funds are non-refundable.
Prior to October 31, University accounts must be in good standing at the time of purchase. Orders requesting to be charged to a student account will be canceled if there is a past-due account balance.
Student Account Charging Privileges – CentralCard Office
To ensure consistency for all students, CMU allows meal plans and flex dollars to be charged to student accounts, regardless of pending financial aid. Pending aid is not required to use these charging privileges. The standard limits for charging through the CentralCard Office are outlined below:
Charging Policy and Limits
To minimize the risk of excessive charges to CMU student accounts, the University has established the following limits and best practices regarding charging privileges at the CentralCard Office.
Eligibility: Charging privileges are available only to account holders who are not listed as past due.
Charging Limits
CMU reserves the right to deny a charge request based on fraudulent account activity, prior excessive charging to student account, or collection activity.
