Open Commitments and Carryforwards

Open commitment reports

Open commitments primarily consist of unreceived or future line items on open purchase orders.

At year-end, departmental open commitments were rolled from fiscal year 2026 to fiscal year 2027. This carryforward process took place the night of June 30.

Because we cannot run a commitment report in SAP based on an "as of date," the following un-adjusted Open Commitment Report, for all cost centers, that was run on June 30, 2026 has been provided:

• All funds:   2026 Commitments Un-Adjusted Report (Excel) (CMU login required)
  

An adjusted version of the Open Commitment Report of the commitments that were recognized for General Fund cost centers ONLY, as of June 30, 2025 has been provided: 

• General Fund Only:  2025 Commitments Rolling to FY26 Adjusted Report (Excel) (CMU login required)
   (NOTE: the 2026 excel file will be available in late August, 2026)
  

Carryforward crosswalk spreadsheet

The carryforward crosswalk spreadsheet is used to determine where year-end general fund balances roll:
