University Stores provides the central warehousing function for CMU. Other services include inventory control and warehousing for departmental forms and publications, as well as office furniture assembly, installation and reconfiguration.

How do I know what items University Stores has to offer?

How do I order supplies from University Stores?
Order online. Simply fill out the Supplies Order Form, scroll to the bottom of the form, and click the submit button. When the form is filled out correctly you will be given a confirmation message that your order has been received, along with your order number. You may want to save this confirmation message.
In urgent situations, supplies may be picked up at the University Stores warehouse located in the Combined Services Building. Please use the same entrance as CMU Police, Parking Services, and Central Mailroom. You will need to enter the University Stores warehouse and ask for assistance. Please know the cost center number and GL account for your department prior to arriving.
How long will it take for University Stores to process and deliver my department's order?
Orders received by 3:00 p.m. on the current business day will usually be delivered within the next three working days. Our goal is to deliver your orders as quickly and as accurately as possible.
How will my department be billed for supplies ordered?
Data entry for billing occurs daily. These charges will appear on your department's SAP cost center account and will be in date order.
This information can be viewed by going to the SAP Funds Management Report Tree and pulling down the University Stores Goods Issue Report. After opening the report enter your cost center/ GL and the date range desired.
Ordering supplies
University Stores offers a wide variety of supplies that departments can purchase, including paper, copier and printer toners, packaging materials, hand tools, hardware, paint, plumbing, electrical, lumber, and cleaning supplies.
If you know the 6 Digit Stock Number of the item(s) you wish to purchase, log in with your Cmich credentials and fill out the online University Stores Order Form:
Upon submission of your Order Form, you will receive an email confirmation that your order has been received. Your order will be delivered by our staff to your specified location. If the items you ordered are not available at the time your order is received, they are automatically back-ordered and shipped to you as soon as they become available.
Departments may request that new supply items be added to the University Stores' inventory by contacting our office. The decision to add an item to stock will be based on available warehouse space, the annual demand for the item, and the potential number of customers for the item.
Warehousing
Departments that have an emergency stock item need may come to the warehouse and pick up the item(s) required.
