International Payments

We've partnered with Transact Campus and TransferMate Education to offer international students a secure and seamless way to pay for tuition and fees in the currency of their choice.

International payments can quickly and conveniently be made from over 160 countries, using more than 130 currencies - including Alipay, WeChat, and other popular alternative payment methods - without leaving the student portal.

Important payment guidelines

Only send wire transfers for the exact amount due on your student billing account.

As a security measure and in keeping with recommended banking practices, wire transfers in excess of the balance due should not be sent to your student billing account.

  • If overpayment occurs, we reserve the right to wire back the excess to the originating account or hold the excess for a future semester.
  • Funds intended for your personal expenses should be wired directly to your local bank account.

Making your payment

How to pay

Follow these steps to make an international payment:

  1. Log in to ​CentralLink​ with your CMU credentials.
  2. Click on Pay/View My Bill in the Quick Links for Students menu.
  3. Click on Make a Payment in the left navigation menu.
  4. Enter the amount in U.S. Dollars that you wish to pay and click Checkout.
  5. Select international payment and follow the prompts to enter your payment information and click Continue.
  6. Review the payment summary for accuracy and click Continue when finished.
  7. Complete any additional steps required to finalize the transfer of funds. Please complete these steps as soon as possible so that your payment may be processed in a timely manner.

Processing times and deadlines

Processing times vary by country. We recommend completing your payment at least 10 business days before the payment due date.

Payment deadline: Payments are due by 5 p.m. ET on the advertised due date.

Late payments: Payments received after 5 p.m. ET will be considered late and fees will apply. Visit our ​Past-Due Accounts​ page for additional information.
