Freshmen Program Schedule and Information
We are excited to welcome you to CMU
On your orientation day, you will join many of your new classmates for an introduction of #LifeAtCentral and getting FIRED UP for your first semester! You’ll meet with academic advisors, our student mentors, and other CMU staff to learn about academic requirements, campus resources, and ways to get involved. You’ll also plan and register for your first semester.
You'll also be added to our new student orientation "course shell" in Blackboard. You will have access to informative online resources, and we'll continue to add information after orientation to help you prepare for your first semester here.
Reminders for the day
- Wear comfortable shoes and plan for the weather.
- Bring your own water bottle so you can stay hydrated throughout the day.
- Family and supporters will have their own version of the day to attend (optional) - you and your family members will attend some sessions together, but we encourage you to take responsibility for your learning and registering for classes.
