Employee Resource Groups

CMU is deeply committed to fostering a workplace where every employee feels valued, supported, and empowered to thrive. As part of this commitment, we are proud to offer support and guidance with Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). While independent of the institution and job functions, these groups reflect our dedication to cultivating an inclusive community that recognizes the experiences, identities, and perspectives of our employees. By creating a clear and supportive framework for ERGs, we are strengthening our investment in employee well-being, professional growth, and meaningful engagement across the institution.

Employee Resource Groups are designed to uplift employees by creating space for affinity, social connection, and advocacy. Through shared experiences and mutual support, ERGs provide opportunities for community-building, mentorship, and collaboration. They also serve as valuable partners in advancing institutional priorities, offering insight and perspective that help shape a more inclusive and responsive university culture. By supporting these groups, we affirm our belief that when employees feel connected and heard, our entire university community grows stronger.
