Studying pre-medicine and osteopathy
The core coursework for the pre-medicine pathway includes biology, chemistry, physics, biochemistry, mathematics, and English. You will also have the opportunity to take elective courses in subjects such as anatomy, physiology, genetics, and psychology.
In addition to your coursework, you will also participate in extracurricular activities that will help you develop your skills and knowledge in medicine. These activities may include shadowing doctors, volunteering at hospitals, or participating in research projects.
While pre-medicine and osteopathy is not a major at CMU, it is a pathway so you have the option to choose from a wide variety of undergraduate majors to prepare you for medical school.
