Join us for fitness programs on campus or from the comfort of your own home! We offer a variety of in-person and virtual options to help you meet your fitness goals.

Choose from a variety of fitness classes: 
Dynamic warm-up, cardio dance fitness, strength cardio HIIT, barre, yoga, cycling and many more classes that accommodate various skill levels.

In-class & virtual fitness classes

All you need is your CMU ID and a group fitness pass!

Purchase your Group Fitness Class Pass at the Guest Services desk in the Student Activity Center (SAC). We accept credit/debit and student account charges as payment. Classes will be added directly to your student ID.

$3 per class.
$72 for an unlimited annual pass valid fall, spring and summer semesters, as available.
$52 for an unlimited pass for spring and summer semesters, as available.

Meet one-on-one virtually with a certified personal trainer for a free fitness coaching session.
Get answers to your fitness questions.
Learn about available resources.
Get fitness tips.
Set attainable and measurable goals.
Create an introductory workout.
Learn how to assess your fitness levels.
Follow how-tos for exercises.

Student/SAC Member: $23 (1 session).
Non-member: $98 (3 sessions).

What to Expect
We help you assess your level of physical fitness through a series of measurements and fitness assessments.

What do we mean by "measurements?"

We set a current baseline and repeat tests every 2-3 months. You'll get an idea of the effectiveness of your training program by measuring:

Resting blood pressure.
Percent of body fat (skinfold calipers or bio-impedance).
Flexibility (sit & reach).
Cardiovascular capacity (3-minute step test recovery heart rate).
Muscular endurance (push-ups & curl-ups).

Why have a Fitness Assessment?
There are many benefits of fitness assessments. The primary use is to establish your strengths and weaknesses, outlining which areas need improvement.
- Free during coaching hours. Approximately 30 minutes.
- Body fat percentage assessment approximately 5-10 minutes.
