Central Michigan University Police Department Citizens Police Academy gives the community the opportunity to gain experience about various aspects of law enforcement. Members of the academy will gain insight into the operation of our police department and learn how the law enforcement community works together to maintain public safety.
Classes are scheduled for five weeks, Wednesday evenings from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. The first class begins in March 2026. Dates are TBD
Applications for the 2026 Citizen's Police Academy are open through March 1, 2026, or until the class is full.
Candidates will receive a confirmation email or phone call.

- Applicant must be a CMU student, faculty, staff, or local community member (Preference will be given to CMU students, faculty, and staff)
