Faculty and Staff Commencement Information
Faculty and staff are invited to participate in the Spring 2026 Commencement ceremonies. Please see the information below on how to participate.
Ceremony information
The ceremonies will be held on Friday, May 8 and Saturday, May 9, 2026. All ceremonies will take place in McGuirk Arena. A breakdown of the ceremony schedule may be viewed here: Commencement Schedule.
Participation
Registration for the ceremony has closed. Those who have signed up will receive parking information, credentials, and ceremony instructions via the campus mail prior to commencement.
Academic regalia ordering
Participants must wear academic regalia. Rental period for regalia has closed. For assistance, please contact the CMU Bookstore at (989) 774-7493.
Bookstore hours
Faculty and Staff regalia may be picked up beginning Monday, May 4, from the Bookstore Lower Level (UC 102) during the hours noted below:

On the day of commencement, orders may be picked up in Rose 121 at 8:00 a.m. All rental gowns must be returned 30 minutes following the end of the ceremony.
