Presidential messages
The University President regularly provides important updates on the university’s plans, priorities and progress to the university community and key stakeholder audiences. These messages can include the annual State of the University Address, legislative testimony, email and video messages to the campus community, and more. This page includes presidential messaging highlights from the past five years.
First 100 Days Reflection
President Neil MacKinnon invites the entire Central Michigan University community to join him on February 11 for a reflection on his first 100 days in office. The event will include a presentation from the president on the strengths, opportunities and challenges facing CMU based on his experiences and interactions with people, programs and colleges throughout the university. A student leader also will moderate an interactive chat with President MacKinnon as part of the event.
- When: Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at 2:00 p.m.
- Where: Plachta Auditorium in Warriner Hall
Following the event, a reception will be held in the 2nd floor atrium of Warriner Hall. Visiting guests without a CMU parking permit may park in Lot 18 with no permit required.
Additionally, there will be a live stream of the event available for those unable to attend in-person.
