During the week of Jan. 12, 2014, experts from AECOM worked with the CMU community to design new signage and an updated Warriner Mall that features an open view of Warriner Hall and inviting spaces for individuals and groups to gather.

During the week of Feb. 10, 2014, the AECOM team engaged the campus community in work such as designing an outdoor entertainment area by Bush Theatre, Moore Hall and the Music Building; transforming the area outside Woldt Hall into a type of town square or European plaza; and designing the new road on the east side of campus that will serve the Biosciences Building and nearby residential and academic facilities.

During the week of March 3, 2014, AECOM and the CMU community explored designs for campus gateways, the space between Anspach, Pearce, Brooks and Dow, and the lawn west of the library. Other highlights included the Veterans’ Memorial, the admissions walk traveled by prospective students and parents, and the potential naming of the central walkway that connects north and south campus. This final charrette built on work sessions the past five months as well as input received during the 2012-13 campus master planning process.
