Central Bound at Muskegon Community College
Be an MCC and CMU student from day one
Launching Fall 2027
Central Bound connects Muskegon Community College and Central Michigan University so you can build your path to a bachelor's degree close to home, with support from both schools every step along the way.

Build momentum at Muskegon CC and keep it going all the way to a CMU bachelor's degree.
When you sign up for Central Bound, you're part of both Muskegon CC and CMU at the same time. You get advising that lines up your courses with your degree plan, access to CMU resources from the start, and a clearer path from your community college classes to your bachelor's degree.
What you get
- Be a CMU and an MCC student from day one. Get CMU status, advising, and services right away, instead of waiting until after you transfer.
- Take advantage of all the resources at CMU. Join us for football games, join student organizations and clubs, get involved in any way you want!
- Plan your path with both schools and take the guessing game out of the traditional transfer experience. Muskegon CC and CMU advisors work together so the classes you take count toward your goal.
- Take your classes where it works for you. Keep taking classes at Muskegon CC while you work toward a CMU degree. Finish your bachelor's online or in person at CMU's Mount Pleasant campus.
- Use your financial aid at both schools. CMU has a financial aid agreement with partner community colleges, so you can use aid at both schools when you're enrolled in courses at both.
- Learn close to home. Build your future without leaving the work, family, and community that matter to you.
