The CMU Counseling Center offers after hours support to any CMU student, or any individual concerned about a CMU student. This is an extension of Counseling Center services and provides assistance with any mental health crisis situation that cannot wait until the next business day. 

Need help with an urgent mental health situation?

  • During business hours (8:00 a.m. - Noon, 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday):
    Call the Counseling Center at 989-774-3381.
    Urgent appointments are available daily for students who require immediate assistance due to crisis or safety concerns. 
    Counselors are available for consultations with those who are concerned for the well-being of a CMU student. 

  • After hours, weekends and holidays:
    For urgent mental health concerns that cannot wait until the next business day call: 989-774-3381 (Press3). 
    When appropriate, staff will follow up with the student of concern the next business day.
