CMU Honors String Orchestra 2026

The School of Music at Central Michigan University is proud to announce the annual Honors String Orchestra! This event is open to students currently enrolled in public or private schools in grades 8-12.

Registration deadline is Friday, September 4th, 2026 at 11:59 pm.

Sample Schedule:

• 8:30-9:00am - Registration
• 9:00am-12:00pm — Full rehearsals and sectionals
• 12:00pm-1:00pm — Lunch (provided by the School of Music)
• 1:00pm-4:30pm — Full rehearsals, sectionals, Admissions Presentation, Faculty Presentation
• 4:30pm-5:30pm — Dinner (provided by the School of Music) and change
• 5:30pm Concert — Featuring CMU faculty, students, and the honors orchestras

SCECH Credit Registration costs $35.00 for directors!

Payment: 

The cost for this event is $30.00 per student. This covers a CMU Honors Orchestra shirt. Registration fee must be paid upon application. Please make checks payable to Central Michigan University.
