Football Player with the Seattle Seahawks

Nick is an NFL player, currently with the Seattle Seahawks.  During his college career, he was an All-MAC First Team selection on defense in 2008, 2009 and 2010.  During his time as a student, the Chips appeared in three bowl games, winning only the 2010 GMAC Bowl, the second bowl win in CMU history.  He was selected as CMU's Defensive Player of the Year in 2008 and 2009.  He went undrafted in the 2011 NFL Draft and signed with the New York Jets later in 2011 and played through the 2014 season, being named to the 2014 All-Pro Special Teams.  He signed a two-year contract with the San Francisco 49ers (2015-2016), then played with the Detroit Lions (2017-2018) and signed with the Seahawks in May 2019.

Even after graduation from CMU, he has not stopped being an active and involved alumnus.  He worked diligently in the creation of the Chippewa Champions Center and to acknowledge his efforts, the Nick Bellore Strength and Conditioning Coach's Office has been named in his honor.

Not only is Nick a proud Central Michigan Chippewa, both his Mother (Mary LaLonde Bellore '81) and his brother-in-law (Benjamin Masztak '13) are as well.  Even while managing his football career, Nick attends CMU alumni events whenever possible.
