Laure Meloy '87

Laure Meloy, ’87 School of Music vocal performance major recently made her Royal Opera, Covent Garden debut as Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute.   Meloy, a freelance opera singer since 1993 has sung with opera companies and orchestras throughout Europe and the USA.

Her voice was also featured on the soundtrack of the BBC/Sony Film “Rocketmen.’ 

In addition to performing, Meloy is a lecturer in music at Canterbury Christ Church University and runs a private voice teaching studio.   

During her tenure at CMU Meloy was a member of the professional music fraternity, Delta Omicron and the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.
