Terry O'Quinn

Terry is most famous for playing John Locke on the TV series “Lost”. He made his television debut in 1980 in a TV movie called F.D.R.: The Last Year. He met his wife, who trained him to ride horses for the movie “Heaven’s Gate”. They have two children and one grandchild.
Since 1980, he has appeared in films and TV movies such as “Young Guns”, “All the Right Moves,” “Silver Bullet,” “Places in the Heart” and “Rocketeer”, in which he portrayed Howard Hughes. He played the title role in “The Stepfather” and “The Stepfather II.” He played Peter Watts in Millennium, which ran for three seasons (1996-1999). He has had guest roles on TV shows such as “Miami Vice”, “The Twilight Zone,” “The West Wing,” “Star Trek: The Next Generation,” “JAG,” “Remington Steele,” “The X-Files,” “Falling Skies,” and the 2010 version of “Hawaii Five-O.” He most recently starred in ABC’s “666 Park Avenue.”
Terry was awarded a 2007 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor – Drama Series and a Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Ensemble – Drama Series. He most recently starred in ABC’s “Park Avenue”.
Terry was born Terrance Quinn, and added the “O” to his name as another registered actor already had the name Terrance Quinn. Terry broke into acting while attending CMU in the early seventies, when he was dared by a friend to audition for a part in Henry IV. He was also a playwright/director. He wrote and directed the musical “Orchestrina”. The musical featured Jeff Daniels.
