Detroit and Central Michigan University
Lifting others up through education and partnership.
The CMU Detroit Office is a multi-engagement space located at the corner of Woodward and Fort Street in downtown Detroit.
A Division of the President’s Office, we are a dynamic microcosm of Central Michigan University’s programs, services and opportunities. We regularly feature programming that attracts various members of the CMU community and the community at-large.
With more than 46,000 CMU alumni currently living and working in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties, we often host events to welcome them back to their alma mater. Whether it’s taking in the parade on Thanksgiving morning, giving back to the community through blood drives or celebrating our students with events like Fashion Future, our alumni are a vibrant part of CMU Detroit.
We care about the city and we love to show it through our presence at events like the Detroit Jazz Festival, the Detroit Regional Chamber’s Detroit Policy Conference and many others. These sponsorships and partnerships allows us to connect with Detroit residents in a deeper, more tangible way.
Many of our events and sponsorships provide opportunities for K-12 students in metro Detroit to interact with CMU and consider us as the place to continue their education. (Read here to find out more about tuition at CMU and how to apply.)
