OIT System Status

This page provides updates about interruptions and/or outages related to enterprise level hardware, software, and systems at Central Michigan University.

If the table below is blank, all systems are functioning as they should. If you are experiencing technology-related challenges with something that does not appear, please contact the OIT Help Desk.

Status updates will be made as new information is available. If a system will be down for an extended period of time (days or weeks), the table will indicate as much. Once resolved, related information will remain on the page for three business days.

Monday, August 25 @ 4:31 p.m.Inability to Access Word or PPT Documents in Blackboard

This update was posted on behalf of our colleagues in the Office of Curriculum and Instructional Support.

 

There was a global outage with Anthology’s Microsoft Azure tenant account which impacted users' ability to view Microsoft Word documents and/or PowerPoint files within a Blackboard course.  

 
 

Green checkmark within a green circle to indicate that the system, software, or hardware are working as they should.

Tuesday, August 26, 2025 @ 8:30 a.m. - This matter has been resolved by the vendor. Blackboard is functioning normally.
