OIT System Status

This page provides updates about interruptions and/or outages related to enterprise level hardware, software, and systems at Central Michigan University.

If the table below is blank, all systems are functioning as they should. If you are experiencing technology-related challenges with something that does not appear, please contact the OIT Help Desk.

Status updates will be made as new information is available. If a system will be down for an extended period of time (days or weeks), the table will indicate as much. Once resolved, related information will remain on the page for three business days.

Monday, December 12Scheduled Maintenance – Blackboard Down TimePer the Office of Curriculum and Instructional Support, Anthology, Blackboard’s Parent Company, will complete required maintenance to our Blackboard environment on Friday, December 27th starting at 1:44 AM.  Maintenance is anticipated to last 6 hours during which Blackboard will not be available.

Maintenance is being done by the vendor. OIT will update this page if/when we are alerted of anything different than what is planned.

Wired and wireless network connectivity was unavailable in the East Residence Hall community

Ethernet and wifi connections were unavailable in the East community. This also affected Woldt and OIT Telecom operations. 

Green checkmark within a green circle to indicate that the system, software, or hardware are working as they should.

12/10/24 @ 8:54 a.m. - The OIT Networking team reports that the issue has been resolved and that the network is functioning properly.
