What to expect when you are contacted by the Office of Student Conduct

If you receive an email or phone call from the Office of Student Conduct, please take the time to review the message and respond promptly.

Being contacted by our office does not necessarily mean you have violated University policy. We may be reaching out because you were involved in an incident, witnessed something that occurred, or have information that could help us better understand a situation.

If you are asked to attend a meeting, you will have an opportunity to ask questions, share your perspective, and learn more about the student conduct process. Our goal is to ensure students understand their rights and responsibilities and have an opportunity to participate in the process.

It is important that you respond to our communications and attend any scheduled meetings. If you are unable to attend, contact our office as soon as possible to discuss your options.

If you do not respond or attend scheduled meetings, the Office of Student Conduct may proceed without your participation and make a decision based on the available information. Not participating in the process may also limit your appeal options.

We encourage students to take an active role in the conduct process so their perspectives can be considered before decisions are made.
