Christopher R. Moberg is the Dean for the College of Business Administration at Central Michigan University. Prior to starting this role in July 2019, Chris served as Senior Associate Dean for Academic Programs and Professor of Marketing in the College of Business at Ohio University. He joined the Marketing Department at Ohio University in 1999 and served in a variety of leadership roles for the department, college, and university. In addition, Chris served on the Board of Directors for the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals from 2009-2016, leading efforts to develop a comprehensive Supply Chain Management Certification Program (SCPro).
In his role as Associate Dean, Chris was the primary AACSB accreditation contact for the college and was responsible for academic policies, curriculum development, and innovative learning. Chris also provided leadership and support for the Career and Student Success Center and Marketing and Communications teams in the college.
His research and teaching interests include logistics and supply chain management, business ethics, sales performance, buyer-seller relationships and services marketing. His research has been presented at several national conferences and appeared in many journals, including the Journal of Business Logistics, International Journal of Physical Distribution & Logistics Management, International Journal of Logistics Management, Supply Chain Quarterly, Supply Chain Management Review, Annals of Operations Research, Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing, and Journal of Services Marketing.
Chris is the proud father of a son (Kevin), a 2021 graduate of the College of Business at Ohio University majoring in Management with a minor in Human Resource Management, and a daughter (Claire), a member of the Class of 2023 at George Washington University and studying political science and journalism. Chris is passionate about travel, sports, and music and loves to plan travel with family and friends around sporting and live music events.
