Biography

Eric Hazen serves as Director of Marketing for CMU Online, where he leads marketing strategy, storytelling, and audience engagement for online and innovation-focused programs at Central Michigan University.

Eric brings more than a decade of higher education marketing experience, with a background spanning digital strategy, website management, brand development, social media, paid advertising, CRM strategy, and student experience. Prior to joining CMU, he served as Executive Director of Digital Experience and Marketing at Ferris State University, where he led work across the university’s website, digital advertising, social media, student portal, and broader digital ecosystem.

At CMU Online, Eric is focused on connecting students with flexible, career-relevant educational opportunities that help them move their lives forward. As a former non-traditional student himself, he believes deeply in the power of online education to expand access, build momentum, and make higher education feel possible for more people.
