Adams, Joshua

Meet Josh Adams, the Manager of Recruitment and Community Relations at Central Michigan University's College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences. Josh oversees partnerships and events, demonstrating skill in articulation agreements to simplify transfer processes and boost enrollment. His international experience in South Korea broadens his perspective on student recruitment and retention strategies.

Josh’s research offers firsthand perspectives on English education in North Korea during a significant transition period (1990s–2000s). Understanding defectors' educational experiences provides unique insights into North Korea's education system, particularly in language education strategies, ideologies, and challenges.

Beyond work, Josh enjoys diving into dungeons and dragons, and digging into Korean barbecue – he's truly a critical hit in both realms, steering the university's trajectory with dedication to outreach and community relations.
