Biography

Dr. Kevin Park received his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and pursued his postdoctoral training at the University of Washington in Seattle. Following his postdoctoral training, he held a Senior Research Associate position at the Centre for Molecular Medicine and Therapeutics at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. His past work has focused on Alzheimer’s disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), and Huntington’s disease.

Dr. Park's current research is investigating the pathogenic role of neuronal cell cycle re-entry in Alzheimer’s disease utilizing his unique transgenic mouse model. Dr. Park is utilizing his recently developed Alzheimer’s disease mouse model to study the pathophysiological processes linking neuronal cell re-entry with a diverse array of Alzheimer’s disease-related pathologies.
