Biography

Dr. ​Y​ang is a Full Professor in the Department of Management at Central Michigan University, specializing in international business and strategy. She earned her Ph.D. in Business Administration from Florida International University and is passionate about understanding how firms operate across different countries and cultures.
Her research focuses on global strategy, with particular interests in sustainability and entrepreneurship. She examines how firms from emerging economies compete in both developed and developing markets, including entry strategies, sustainability initiatives, and cross-border mergers and acquisitions. ​

Dr. ​Yang’s work has been published in journals such as Journal of Business Research, Multinational Business Review, Journal of Management & Organization, and Chinese Management Studies. In her teaching, she brings a global perspective and encourages students to think critically about business in an interconnected world.

Outside the classroom, she enjoys yoga​,​ ​Nia, traveling​ across the world, ​cooking, ​gardening, and audiobooks. She values a healthy, sustainable lifestyle and loves spending quality time with her family​ and friends.
