Biography

The chief of staff to the president manages and provides leadership for the inner office functions of the Office of the President and is also responsible for the supervision of the affirmative action/Title IX and ombudsperson functions of the university. The position coordinates activities of the president's cabinet and ensures exceptional communication among members of the senior leadership team consistent with a strategic focus on accomplishing presidential goals. The position also is a primary liaison with members of the Board of Trustees and supervises the preparation of board meetings and materials. Commencement and major events, scheduling and logistics, correspondence, and policy implementation are all overseen by the chief of staff, who supervises the office team.
