Faculty Resources

You can find information here regarding student accommodation letters,  student testing accommodations, statements for syllabi, and ways to increase the accessibility of your course. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please give us a call at 989-774-3018 or by email at sds@cmich.edu

Student accommodation letters

Student accommodation letters are provided each semester and list the courses in which the student is currently enrolled. Please familiarize yourself with the accommodations the student has been granted.

If you receive a letter from a student that is from a previous semester or does not list your course, please refer the student to Student Disability Services.

Testing accommodations

Student testing accommodations are coordinated through CMU's Certified Testing Center. Students must make test reservations at least four (4) business days prior to the test date through Microsoft Bookings. Students must schedule under the "Student Disability Services testing" section. The Testing Center will then reach out to you for the test and instructions, including the amount of time given for the test, materials allowed, your contact information, etc.

For questions regarding a student's scheduled test, please contact the Testing Center at testingcenter@cmich.edu or 989-774-1092.

For online tests using Blackboard, you need to adjust the time yourself within the system. Please refer to the Knowledge Base article for instructions (CMich login required).

Syllabus statement

The statement to use in your syllabus with information about student accommodations is listed on the Sample Statements for Syllabi page from Curriculum and Instructional Support (CIS). Please be sure to use the current statement.
