Tutoring and Supplemental Instruction

Tutoring Services

Tutoring is a free university service available to you if you need assistance in 100-300 level courses. You'll meet with tutors one-on-one and get the extra help you need in your class. If you did well in a class and are looking for an opportunity to help other students, you can also apply to become a tutor (see below).

Tutoring requests

Students are eligible for a maximum of three hours per week. Students are asked to make a request via our online form and expect a wait of up to three weeks to be matched with a tutor.

Supplemental Instruction

Supplemental Instruction is often provided if you are enrolled in a challenging class. Supplemental Instruction (SI) includes a series of review sessions, led by an SI Leader, who prepares a review from each lecture the instructor gives. If you did well in a class and are looking for an opportunity to help other students, you can also apply to become an SI leader.
