Every applicant for graduation is required to submit an application for graduation. Applications are processed in the order in which received. The application generates a degree audit which is emailed to the student and will detail outstanding graduation requirements. Awarding of degrees is dependent upon the successful completion of all requirements.
Applications should be submitted based on the following timeline, however late applicants may be able to graduate.
- October 1 for May graduation
- February 1 for August graduation
- April 1 for December graduation
Note to Graduate Degree Applicants
At the time of filing the graduation application, it is the responsibility of the student to determine whether his/her advisor will be available to approve the thesis or any other papers necessary for graduation. For deadline information, contact the College of Graduate Studies.
Requirements for Graduation
Graduating students will be e-mailed approximately four to five weeks prior to their commencement ceremony about tickets, cap and gown, announcements, and commencement day procedures. August graduates are emailed commencement information for the December ceremony in September.
