Teaching and Learning Professional Support (TL Pro) is a collaborative, holistic approach to strengthening teaching and learning. Rather than offering one-time services, we partner with faculty to identify goals, explore options, and choose strategies that best support their teaching practice and student learning.

Our work is flexible and faculty-centered. Whether you are refining a course or rethinking your approach to teaching, TL Pro consultants work with you to create a customized plan that fits your needs, context, and timeline.

TL Pro brings together a range of support into a cohesive experience. Instead of isolated services, we work with you to combine services such as consultation, observation, and feedback into an ongoing process of reflection and growth.

Our work is grounded in evidence-based practices and nationally recognized frameworks, including Learner-Centered Course Design, the Community of Inquiry, Quality Matters, and the Online Learning Consortium Quality Scorecard. Across all engagements, we focus on creating accessible, consistent, and engaging learning environments.

Confidential and non-evaluative

All TL Pro engagements are confidential and non-evaluative. Our role is to support your development—not assess your performance. Any feedback, data, or materials generated are shared only with you and will not be distributed to others.

How we will work with you

TL Pro offers flexible support that can be combined based on your goals:

• Consultation - One-on-one conversations to explore teaching strategies, course design, or specific challenges. This is often the starting point for developing a plan.
• Teaching Observation - A live observation (any format) followed by a collaborative discussion focused on your goals and reflections.
• Student Feedback - Collect and interpret student feedback (e.g., Blackboard surveys) to gain actionable insights into the learning experience.
• Course Review (Blackboard) - A review of your course shell focusing on clarity, consistency, accessibility, and alignment.
• Syllabus Review - A review of your syllabus to strengthen communication, design, and support for student learning.
