The Dean's List is published following the fall, spring, and summer semesters. To be included on the Dean's List, a student must have a semester grade point average of 3.5 – 3.99. Students who earn a perfect 4.00-grade point average for the semester, with at least 12 graded credit hours, are placed on the President’s List. Graded credit hours do not include CR/NC. The Dean's List is for undergraduate students only.
When the data is finalized by the Registrar's Office, and we receive names of those students who have qualified, the Dean's List will be posted to this web page. Students who have also been named to the President’s List, will be indicated with an asterisk (*) following their name. Congratulatory letters are sent to the permanent address of record for each student who achieves these honors. After contacting our office, the Registrar’s Office also provides the list of students who have achieved academic honors to University Communications, CMU’s public relations office. In turn, they provide the Dean's/President's List to local newspapers for their use in publication purposes. Each newspaper has a different timeline for printing such information.
