Departmental Scholarships

Explore the many scholarships in addition to the merit-based and competitive awards CMU offers. If you are interested in a specific program of study, special interest, study abroad, or have a parent or grandparent who graduated from CMU, we have scholarship opportunities for you.

Scholarship Universe (SU) is our scholarship-matching tool for admitted CMU students. SU connects students to millions of dollars in internal (CMU) and external (outside of CMU) scholarship opportunities. Most endowed, departmental, and annual scholarships will be found in this platform.

The 2026-2027 CMU application on Scholarship Universe will open in October 2025 for admitted and current CMU students. Please see Scholarship Universe (SU) for a description of all available scholarships.
