Registration Schedule
Dates and times
Students are expected to register for classes that meet their own academic programs. Enrolling in courses to “save” them for another student is prohibited.
To determine the day and time you are allowed to register, add the total degree credit hours earned on your Central Michigan University transcript (does not include classes beginning with "0" i.e. 099, 055, etc.), plus your CMU credit hours currently in progress.
For new transfer credits to be considered in this total an official transcript that has been mailed directly from the issuing institution must be received by the CMU Registrar's Office at least two weeks before your registration time. Credits currently enrolled at other colleges/universities will not be considered toward the determination of hours for your registration time.
Central Michigan University offers the earliest registration times to all active military personnel, certified veterans, and those deemed eligible for VA benefits by the Dept. Veteran Affairs. Central Michigan University also reserves the right to permit other approved student populations earlier registration times as designated.
Registration 2026-2027
Multi-semester: Summer 2026, Fall 2026, Spring 2027
- Registration begins anytime the system is available on or after the scheduled registration times.
On-campus
- Summer 2026: Add/drop period ends on May 19, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.*
- Fall 2026: Add/drop period ends on September 6, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.*
- Spring 2027: Add/drop period ends on January 17, 2027 at 11:59 p.m.*
*Note: For late-start courses, registration ends at 11:59 p.m. the day before the course starts

- Registration ends at 11:59 p.m. the day before the course starts.
