Durkin, Amy
Biography
Amy Durkin, M.S., CCC-SLP is the Summer Specialty Clinics Coordinator (SSC) and a Speech Language Pathology (SLP) Master Clinical Educator (MCE) within the Department of Communication Disorders and Sciences at Central Michigan University. Amy has worked in several settings including pediatric and adult outpatient clinics and acute care. As SSC coordinator, Amy plans, develops, and manages programing for a summer day-camp for children ages 3-13 years who need speech-language therapy and a clinical practicum for graduate SLP student clinicians. As an MCE, Amy supports students as they develop competencies in the areas of language, speech-sound production, fluency, social pragmatic communication, literacy, augmentative and alternative communication, motor speech, voice, and dysphagia with patients of all ages.
