Biography
Anthony’s work focuses on American institutions, specifically; legislative issues at both the state and federal level; presidential decision making; American political culture; public policy; and urban politics.
Prior to earning his Ph.D., Anthony spent over four years working in Michigan politics as a field organizer, a campaign manager, a community organizer and a legislative assistant at the Michigan House of Representatives.

Research Interests
His dissertation, “Polarizing reforms: How state legislative reforms of the 20th century exacerbated polarization in the 21st century,” focused on the effects of intuitional reforms in state legislatures, notably legislative term limits.
