Biography

Arun Kumar Agnihotri, M.D., is a professor of Pathology in the Department of Foundational Sciences at the Covenant HealthCare College of Medicine at Central Michigan University. He brings more than 25 years of teaching experience and over a decade of service as a professor in medical education across India, Nepal, Mauritius, Antigua and Barbuda, St. Kitts and Nevis, and the United States.

Agnihotri teaches histology, pathology, pathophysiology and integrated foundational sciences using student-centered approaches that emphasize active learning, critical thinking, and clinical application. His educational interests include curriculum development, team-based learning, problem-based learning, game-based learning, assessment design, and student mentoring. He is committed to helping learners build strong foundational knowledge while developing the clinical reasoning skills needed for future practice.

His scholarly work spans pathology, medical education, forensic medicine, and forensic anthropology, with more than 75 peer-reviewed publications and numerous national and international presentations. He is currently pursuing advanced training in medical education through the Newcastle University, United Kingdom.

Agnihotri is the founder and editor-in-chief of the Global Journal of Medical Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Update and serves as editor-in-chief of the American Journal of Biopharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, the International Association of Medical Science Educators, African Society of Forensic Medicine, and the Global Association of Physicians of Indian Origin.
