Adamson, Belinda

Belinda Adamson became the Director of Research Compliance, in the Office of Research and Graduate Studies at the beginning of 2022.

Belinda started out as a clinical laboratory technologist with a specialty in hematology/coagulation. That experience took her into basic science research in chronic wound healing biology. She is co-inventor on four patents which resulted in the development and conduct of an FDA clinical trial. She also served as a coordinator on several industry sponsored clinical trials.

Human subjects, animals, potentially hazardous agents and biological materials were components utilized in the chronic wound healing research. This background assisted Belinda in transitioning into the research regulatory/compliance field. Her work experiences have been at an academic medical center, academic research university, social-behavioral/educational university and a medical school. Her continuing interest in the regulatory/compliance field developed from those institutions and she has been doing it for over 15 years.
