Biography
Dustin Shattuck is a Lecturer in the Department of English Language and Literature at Central Michigan University (CMU). He has worked in public education since 2006 and has been recognized for his teaching contributions at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, (List of Teachers Ranked as Excellent by Their Students, ranked “Outstanding,” & History Department Centenary Prize), at Texas Tech University (Teaching Academy Diamond Award nominee & funded Service Learning Faculty Fellowship), and at McNeese State University (Distinguished First-Year Teaching Award). His research interests include 20thCentury and Contemporary American Fiction, K-Mart Realists, literary nonfiction, and English pedagogy. He earned an MFA in Creative Writing—Fiction and an MA in English Literature from McNeese State University and a BA in Creative Writing/Rhetoric and in History from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
