Lewis, Kenneth
Ph.D.
Biography
Dr. Kenneth Lewis is an Assistant Professor of Physiology in the Department of Foundational Sciences at CMU College of Medicine. Originally from Rochester, Michigan where he studied biology at Oakland University before completing his Ph.D. at Wayne State University School of Medicine, studying mechanisms of membrane fusion and neurosecretion. He then went on to study adipocytes and their role in systemic metabolic homestasis during his postdoctoral training at University of Michigan Medical School. During his graduate and postdoctoral training, Dr. Lewis found a passion for teaching undergraduate, graduate, and medical students. As a member of the faculty at the College of Medicine, he plans to pursue teaching excellence and engage in medical education research.
