Niles Jr, Timothy

Tim Niles serves as Executive Director of Enterprise Applications and Data within the Office of Information Technology at Central Michigan University. He provides leadership for enterprise applications, data and analytics, systems integration, software engineering, institutional reporting, and enterprise artificial intelligence initiatives. In this role, he partners with university leadership to modernize technology platforms, strengthen data-informed decision making, and advance digital transformation across the institution.

With more than 25 years of experience spanning higher education, technology, manufacturing, financial services, and global software organizations, Tim has held leadership positions at Central Michigan University, Cisco Systems, Duo Security, Domino's Pizza, and the University of Michigan. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, he brings a Lean leadership approach grounded in accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. His expertise includes enterprise modernization, artificial intelligence, data strategy, organizational leadership, process improvement, and large-scale technology transformation.

He is a frequent speaker on topics including artificial intelligence, data and analytics, IT service management, and technology leadership.
