Biography

Wendy S. Biggs, M.D., professor of Family Medicine at Central Michigan University College of Medicine, is assistant dean of Career Counseling and Student Engagement and the director of College of Medicine’s Comprehensive Community Clerkship. Dr. Biggs was the program director for the University of Kansas Family Medicine Residency in Kansas City, KS from 2013-2017. From 2011 to 2013 she was the Deputy Director of Medical Education at the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP). From 2002-2011, Dr. Biggs was faculty at MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland’s Family Medicine Residency in Midland, Michigan. Before going to Midland, she was assistant residency program director at the University of Michigan Family Medicine Residency and in private practice. Dr. Biggs graduated from Baylor College of Medicine for both medical school and family medicine residency. Her educational and clinical interests include medical student specialty choice, competency-based assessment, maternity care and women’s health, integrated mental health, and comprehensive patient-centered primary care.
